OpenRTB is an initiative of the IAB, the Interactive Advertising Bureau. It was launched in November 2010 by a team of leading advertising technology companies with the aim of defining a set of standards and open protocols for the programmatic trading of digital advertising inventory. It is intended that simplified data exchange and workflow transparency will facilitate improved communication among the market participants.
